The picture is Hirai Kaz, creator of the original PlayStation and all subsequent models of the PS brand, including the PSP.
I don't like the picture either but, I respect the man. He's a genius and without him, we'd all be downloading themes for our GBASP or our Sega equivalent.
Even if you like the XBOX, you've got to hand it to Hirai-san. Without the success of Sony's original PlayStation, MicroSoft would not have seen a profit opportunity in the game console market.
As well, games would never have matured to the point that Grand Theft Auto, Halo or Metal Gear Solid would be accepted in the US because Nintendo would not have had any reason to take a risk and Mario would still be as mature as they'd permit!
Consider that world when you say you do not like the picture.
Kaz may like like just another old Japanese guy to you but, look at your beloved PSP or your PS2 or even your XBOX... What kind of system would you have without this old man you're calling a 'gay old Chinese dude' with so little regard?
The Nintendo DS? No. Nintendo would not have needed it. The GBA sales would have lasted at least until 2010 and then the SP would have been released. DS would not see the light of day until 2020 if you were lucky! Your Nintendo 64 would have been followed by another cartridge system and Sega would have been your alternative to Nintendo's Pokemon and wrestling games!
So, give Hirai some respect, won't you?
Now, I don't want to hear anyone call him CHINESE again!
Oh, and I suppose it might have been just a little bit offensive to call him gay and old too but... Whatever. I don't care!
I just think we can respect the man who brought us all that great Sony technology!
Besides, you can just change the picture to a young japanese girl with big breasts if it suits your tastes better; although, she may seem out of place with the Sony products!
